Dr. Anderson
Dr. Anderson is a board-certified ophthalmologist in Colorado Springs with advanced training in cataract surgery.
A Colorado native, he discovered his passion for medicine early in life. He graduated with honors from the University of Chicago, earned a Master’s Degree from Georgetown University, and completed his medical education at the University of Illinois. He went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at Cook County Medical Center, one of the nation’s busiest hospitals. During residency, he consistently ranked in the top tier on the annual ophthalmology in-service exam (90th percentile) and demonstrated exceptional skill in cataract surgery, achieving a 95th percentile ranking in surgical volume. His leadership and clinical excellence earned him the role of Chief Resident in his final year.
Following residency, Dr. Anderson completed a fellowship in Cornea, Refractive, and External Disease at Wake Forest University, further refining his surgical expertise. He also participated in a medical mission to Honduras, where he performed cataract surgeries for patients in underserved communities.
Dr. Anderson has since performed more than 5,000 eye surgeries in the Greater Colorado Springs area, utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and the latest advancements in cataract surgery.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys skiing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and their two young children.
