Dr. Erik Anderson is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and is now seeing patients in Colorado Springs at the Vision Institute
While growing up in Colorado, Dr. Anderson was raised in a healthcare environment and was focused from an early age on a career in medicine. After completing his undergraduate degree with Honors from the University of Chicago, he received a Master’s Degree from Georgetown University before completing medical school at the University of Illinois. Upon his graduation, he completed an ophthalmology residency at Chicago’s Cook County Medical Center, one of the country’s busiest hospitals. In residency, he achieved the 90th percentile on the annual ophthalmology in-service exam and 95th percentile in cataract and corneal surgical volume. In his final year, he was elected Chief Resident by his attendings. Dr. Anderson then completed a Corneal, Refractive, and External Disease Fellowship at Wake Forest University and made a humanitarian trip to Honduras to provide cataract surgery to the underprivileged local community. In his free time, Dr. Anderson enjoys skiing, golf, and spending time with his wife and two young children.
Dr. Anderson practices in the Greater Colorado Springs area. He has completed thousands of successful eye surgeries using the latest diagnostic and surgical technologies including Cataract Surgery in Colorado Springs, Refractive Lens Exchange, Crosslinking, Visian ICL, and LASIK.
